Objectives & Actions

The Objectives & Actions tab is where you execute the Account Manager plan strategy.

Define the objectives that will contribute to achieving your strategic goal and assign the necessary actions to achieve each objective.

Access Objectives

An objective is something that needs to be achieved to make the strategy a success. An objective contains the actions required to achieve it.

By default, an '[Unassigned Actions]' objective is available for every account in the plan - as shown in the example below.

Actions that are not associated with a specific business objective can be linked with this objective.

Note: Depending on how Altify is configured by your administrator, '[Unassigned Actions]' objectives may by hidden on the Objectives page until an action is assigned to them.

Access the plan objectives by clicking the Objectives button (as indicated in the example below).

Access Actions

An action is a specific step that needs to be completed, either as part of achieving an objective, or as an unassigned action in its own right.

Access the plan actions by clicking the Actions button (as indicated in the example below).

Manage objectives and actions

The Objectives & Actions tab has three main elements (common to the Objectives page and the Actions page):

  1. Objective/Action Status Charts - a clickable chart provides a visual breakdown of the plan's objectives or actions by status ('Not Started', 'In Progress', etc.).
  2. Filters - a range of multi-select filters allow you work with objectives or actions at a granular level.
  3. Objectives & Actions Workspace - here's where you view, create, update or delete your objectives or actions. A List View option allows you to scan larger amounts of data.

These elements are identified in the example shown below. (This example is the Objectives page but the same elements appear in the same locations on the Actions page.)
