Add Current or Won Opportunities

This topic explains how to add current or won opportunities to your account plan.

Note: With regard to won opportunities, only those closed in your org's current fiscal year can be added to the Pipeline page.

  1. Click the Add button on the relevant solution row if you are adding an opportunity to a whitespace (see 1 below) and select the appropriate tab (Current or Won) on the dialog that opens.

    If you are adding to a solution row with existing opportunities, click on the current or won value (see 2 and 3 above) to open the solution dialog with the relevant tab open.

    Depending on the tab that is selected, all existing current or won opportunities are displayed for the solution.

  2. If the current or won opportunity you are adding does not yet exist in your Salesforce org, click New Opportunity.

    In the Create Opportunity dialog, add the information as you would when creating an opportunity in Salesforce, and click Save.

    Note: The New Opportunity button can be hidden by your administrator - in which case you are restricted to adding opportunities that are already created in Salesforce (as described below).

    If you are adding opportunities that already exist in your Salesforce org, click Import opportunities to search for the opportunity or opportunities that you want to add.

  3. The Advanced Search dialog allows you to search current/won opportunities associated with the account. You can adjust the view you are searching (as highlighted in the example below). The selected view determines which search fields are available and which columns are displayed in the search results (but not the set of opportunities that are shown).

    Note: By default, you can only import opportunities that belong to the planned account. However, your administrator can configure Altify so that opportunities of child and grandchild accounts are available for import also.

  4. Search for the current or won opportunities that you want to add to the account plan.

  5. Select the opportunity or opportunities you want to add to the intersection and click OK.

    On closing the solution dialog, you will see that newly added opportunities are now included in the Current/Won column on the relevant solution row.

    Note If product–solution mapping is enabled for Altify account planning, and the opportunity contains product line items, it will be auto-mapped to the relevant solution row.

    However, if an opportunity is associated with a product that is not mapped to an Altify solution in your account plan, the opportunity will not appear on the Pipeline page when it is imported.
