Removing or Deleting a Division
Divisions can be created when you are making an Account Manager plan but they live at the account level. So, if a division is removed from an Account Manager plan, it continues to exist on other Account Manager plans where it has been added, and it remains available to add to other plans (including Altify Account Plans). Similarly, a division that is removed from an Account Manager plan retains its insight map and relationship map data.
If a division is deleted however, it is removed from all plans (Account Manager plans and account plans) and is no longer available for selection when you are creating a new plan. The following information is also lost:
-
The division's insight map is lost
-
The division's relationship map is lost (however, if you added contacts to a division relationship map, they will continue to be displayed on the account relationship map after you have deleted the division).
-
Row details captured for the division are lost.
-
Objectives (and any associated actions) created for the division are lost.
Whether a division is removed from an Account Manager plan or deleted, the following effects are seen on the opportunity map:
-
Opportunities on the relevant division row are moved to the first instance of the parent account row on the opportunity map.
(Similarly, if a division is deleted and your organization runs account plans, opportunities that were added on the division Pipeline page remain associated with the parent account and continue to be displayed in the account view of the Pipeline.)
- Blocked intersections on the opportunity map are not moved to a parent account row.
