Creating the Altify MCP Server Apps in ChatGPT

The following steps outline how to connect the Altify MCP server with your ChatGPT agent.

The following steps need to be completed for each of the four servers in the Altify MCP Server package.

  1. In ChatGPT, go to Settings > Apps > Advanced settings and toggle on Developer Mode.

  2. Click Create App and enter the following information:

    1. Name: Enter a descriptive name (e.g. 'Altify Opportunity Finder MCP' for the Altify Salesforce server).

    2. Description: Enter a description of what this server does (e.g. 'This server allows us to locate interesting opportunities in our Salesforce Org')

    3. Remote MCP Server URL: Enter the MCP server endpoint, e.g. for the Altify Salesforce server, this is: https://salesforce.mcp.altify.dev/mcp

      All five servers are listed below (including the Sandbox equivalent if you are testing the MCP servers in a Sandbox org)

  3. In the Authentication section, select OAuth and enter the following ECA Credentials:

    1. Client ID: Enter the OAuth client ID from your Salesforce External Client Application.

    2. Client secret: Enter the corresponding client secret.

      Note: The Client ID and Client secret can be obtained on the Settings tab (see OAuth Settings) of your custom Salesforce External Client Application. Your ECA may include separate credentials for each server.

    3. Authorization URL: Enter the appropriate endpoint URL with 'authorize' appended, e.g. https://salesforce.mcp.altify.dev/authorize

    4. Token URL: Enter the appropriate endpoint URL with 'token' appended, e.g. https://salesforce.mcp.altify.dev/token

  4. Click Create.

  5. After you click Create, ChatGPT will launch the OAuth flow. It will redirect you to your Salesforce where you authenticate the connection.

    Once finished, you'll be redirected back to ChatGPT where your MCP Server app will be active.

  6. Repeat steps 2 to 5 for the four other servers in the Altify MCP package.

Once you have created the five apps, your users can connect with them via ChatGPT and start using the Altify MCP servers.
