What the report measures

This widget shows the total value of planned (non-Potential) Altify opportunities, grouped by their sales stage. It gives a view of how planned opportunities are progressing through the sales cycle during the current fiscal quarter. This view helps identify whether planning is driving qualified pipeline into meaningful sales progress.

  • Metric Displayed: Sum of Reporting Amount.

  • Filtered by:

    • Opportunity Type ≠ Potential

    • Created Date = Current Fiscal Quarter

  • Grouped by:

    • Stage

    • Account Name

    • AM Solution Name

How the report is built

Report Type

A custom report type is used, as follows:

  • Name: 'Accounts with Planned Opportunities – ROI'.

  • Objects:

    • Primary Object (A): Accounts

    • Related Object (B): Altify Account Opportunities

Filters

  • Created Date (from the Altify Account Opportunity): Current FQ (e.g. Jul 1, 2025 – Sep 30, 2025)

  • Opportunity Type: Not Potential

    Filters out early-stage opportunity concepts (only includes more committed opps).

Grouping (Outline)

The following rows are grouped:

  • Account Name

  • Stage

  • AM Solution: Solution Name

Columns Added

  • Opportunity Name

  • Forecast Category

  • Account Opportunity Name

  • Reporting Amount

This structure allows stage-level insight by account and associated solution.

Dashboard Widget Setup

  • Component Type: Stacked Bar or Grouped Bar Chart

  • X-Axis: Sum of Reporting Amount

  • Y-Axis: Stage

  • Color Grouping: AM Solution Name or Account Name

  • Label: 'Top Planned Pipeline by Stage'

Could also be a horizontal bar chart with grouping if you’re comparing pipeline stage load across multiple solutions or accounts.

Why it matters

  • Sales Funnel Analysis: Shows how much of the pipeline is sitting in each stage — helps assess bottlenecks or conversion issues.

  • Plan Progress Insight: Provides a reality check on whether planned opps are staying early-stage or maturing.

  • Solution Readiness: When broken down by AM Solution, helps prioritize enablement and delivery alignment.

Troubleshooting

If this report is blank:

  • Confirm that there are non-Potential Altify Account Opportunities created during the current fiscal quarter.

  • Make sure Stage and Reporting Amount are populated on those opps.

  • Run the report without the Created Date filter to confirm opps exist and check if they’re older than the current quarter.
