This chart shows the total value of all potential opportunities created in the current fiscal year, as logged in the Altify Account Opportunities object.

What the report measures

This widget displays the total dollar value of potential opportunities created in the current fiscal quarter, based on records in the Altify Account Opportunities object.

• Metric Displayed: Sum of Reporting Amount.

• Used for: This chart is a leading indicator of annual account planning effectiveness, tracking whether strategic planning is turning into measurable pipeline.

• Filtered by:

  • Opportunity Type = Potential

  • Created Date (from Altify Account Opportunities) = Current Fiscal Year

How the report is built

Report Type

A custom report type is used, as follows:

• Name: 'Accounts with Planned Opportunities – ROI'.

• Objects:

  • Primary Object (A): Accounts

  • Related Object (B): Altify Account Opportunities

    • Pulls records where an Account has at least one linked Altify opportunity.

Filters

• Created Date (from Altify Account Opportunities): Current FY (e.g. Jan 1 – Dec 31, 2025)

• Opportunity Type: Potential

• Show Me: All Accounts

Grouping (Outline)

The following rows are grouped:

• Account Name

• Opportunity Type

Columns Added

• Opportunity Name

• AM Solution: Solution Name

• Account Opportunity Name

• Reporting Amount

These support the underlying chart and allow table-style drill-down from dashboards.

Dashboard Widget Setup

• Component Type: Metric (Single Value)

• Displayed Metric: Sum of Reporting Amount

• Label: 'Potential Opportunities – This FY'

• Visualization Style: Optional chart view (e.g. bar graph by account) is also useful, especially when comparing contributions across large accounts.

Why it matters

This is your annualized leading pipeline indicator.

• Shows the cumulative value of new pipeline created by planning activity.

• Helps identify accounts or regions driving the most strategic opportunity generation.

• Allows comparison against annual targets or historical performance.

Troubleshooting

If the value is unexpectedly low or missing:

• Check that Opportunity Type = Potential is correctly applied to the Altify Account Opportunities.

• Make sure Reporting Amount is populated.

• Confirm that the Created Date is within this fiscal year.

• Try running the report with 'All Time' filters to troubleshoot visibility.
