This widget displays the total dollar value of potential opportunities created in the current fiscal quarter, based on records in the Altify Account Opportunities object.

  • Metric displayed: Total Reporting Amount from records on Altify Account Opportunities.

  • Used for: This chart helps capture how much new pipeline is being generated via account planning in a specific time window.

  • Filtered by:

    • Opportunity Type = Potential

    • Created Date on Altify Account Opportunities = Current Fiscal Quarter

How the report is built

Report Type

A custom report type is used, as follows:

  • Name: 'Accounts with Planned Opportunities – ROI'.

  • Objects:

    • Primary Object (A): Accounts

    • Related Object (B): Altify Account Opportunities

      • Relationship: 'with at least one related record'

  • Usage: Enables reporting on opportunities directly tied to account plans and solutions via Altify.

Filters

  • Created Date (from Altify Account Opportunities): Current FQ (e.g. Jul 1, 2025 – Sep 30, 2025)

  • Opportunity Type: Potential

  • Show Me: All Accounts (ensures no ownership filter is interfering)

Grouping (Outline)

The following rows are grouped: :

  • Account Owner

  • Opportunity Type

These help organize the display for drill-down or troubleshooting but aren’t needed in the widget visualization itself.

Columns Added

  • Opportunity Name

  • AM Solution: Solution Name

  • Account Opportunity Name

  • Reporting Amount

These support the underlying chart and allow table-style drill-down from dashboards.

Dashboard Widget Setup

  • Component Type: Metric (Single Value)

  • Metric: Sum of Reporting Amount

  • Label: 'Potential Opportunities – This FQ'

  • Displayed Value: Pipeline value of newly created potential opportunities this quarter.

Troubleshooting

If no results are returned, try the following actions:

  • Check that Opportunity Type = Potential is correctly populated on Altify Account Opportunities.

  • Make sure the Created Date on those records is in the current fiscal quarter.

  • Confirm Reporting Amount is populated; if blank, those records won’t contribute to the chart.

  • Use a separate 'All Time' version of the report for QA to confirm data exists outside this FQ filter.
