What the report measures

This report measures the average monetary value of opportunities tracked in Altify for the current fiscal year. It provides insight into deal size trends by calculating the mean value of all opportunities in the pipeline that meet the criteria.

  • Metric displayed: Average Deal Size = (Sum of Opportunity Amounts ÷ Number of Opportunities).

  • Used for: Evaluating sales strategy effectiveness, identifying trends in deal size over time, and comparing performance across teams, regions, or opportunity types.

How the report is built

Report Type

A custom report type: 'Opportunities with Altify Opportunities'.

Includes standard opportunity fields plus Altify-specific fields for filtering and grouping.

Filters

  • Show Me: All Opportunities

  • Close Date: Current FY (e.g. Jan 1, 2025 – Dec 31, 2025)

  • Opportunities: With Altify Opportunities

Grouping (Outline)

The following rows are grouped:

  • Opportunity Owner: Full Name

  • Region / Segment (optional)

  • Opportunity Type or Size Category (optional)

Columns Added (& Summary Formulas)

  • Opportunity Amount → SUM(Amount)

  • Average Deal Size → AVG(Amount)

Dashboard widget setup

  • Visualization: Metric Chart or Gauge

  • Metric: Summary Formula (Average Deal Size)

  • Label: 'Avg Deal Size – Current FY'

  • Filters: None by default; owner, region, or deal size for targeted analysis.
