Choosing an Account Plan Type

The account plan type determines the following:

  • The questions that you answer when recording Account Details.

  • The solutions that you can plan opportunities against in Pipeline.

    Note: Additional solutions cannot be manually added to an account plan. You can only plan against the default solutions that have been configured for the plan type by your Altify administrator.

  • The functions that are available. For example, Account Details might be deactivated for your selected plan type.

Your current plan type is indicated on the launchpad (see 1 in the image below). You can also change the plan type on the launchpad by clicking Change Plan Type (see 2 below).

The plan type can also be changed at any time within the account plan. Select an option from the Account Plan Type drop-down menu at the top of any page in your account plan (as highlighted below in the example below).

If an account plan is accessed from the opportunity map of an Account Manager plan (as highlighted in the example below), the plan type of the account plan is automatically set to the plan type of the Account Manager plan.
